Almost Christmas

I am SO looking forward to downtime. Quiet. Chill. Not quite there yet, but I'm working on it.
This morning I went to an actual bakery to buy Christmas gifts for the office. The gentleman working there made it quite clear that proper customers preorder their requests. No Gingerbread men. I asked the price of these mini Christmas loaves (like 1/4 size of regular loaf pan). He said $34.99. I asked again. The next sizes were $40 and $50 something. I'm wondering where is teh gold they bake in there. The proper word for bakery cheese crackers are cheese STRAWS (I was corrected). He told me $9.99/dozen I asked for 4. He brought me 4 individual cheese STRAWS in a bag for $5 something. I promptly paid and got the heck out of there. I think he was glad to get rid of the riff raff!!!!
Tomorrow I will sit my butt at home and wait to see if UPS delivers a phone I ordered. I was exercising last Friday when they tried to deliver. The note left said they would deliver to local CVS for pick up. Then they said they were sending back to ship point in the next town that would be closed until Monday. Checking between the shipper (Google) and UPS and I learned that signature required . I see with a $600 phone, but they could have informed in advance. Then when I checked the CVS store I see why they don't leave signature required items there for pick up because items are in view barely behind the counter and the lovely people working there have no clue about UPS shipping/signature required things. Apparently you can't even do electronic leave signature for a signature required item but they don't tell you that. Apparently they can tell you they are taking to pick up point (CVS) but won't do it for signature required items. I think I finally successfully told them (through online account messaging) to hold until Friday for redelivery, although I won't know until 1) they deliver on Friday or 2) I win the lottery and talk to a human to find out the actual status. At this rate I am fine with either getting the package or return to sender.
I'm doing the countdown until Christmas break. Three more hours and then off for the next five days! Yahoo! ThankyouJesus!
