susandennis . I'm afraid it's a miserable fail. But documenting things might come in handy.
Yesterday we unfortunately drove back from Florida visiting the in laws. We say we're going to check on them. But truth is that take great care of us! They are soon to be 80 and 82 and Sky (the older) knows that he is becoming forgetful and has some dementia. Damnit. He's a good man. A smart man. He's doing what he can to fight it. But it may be at least partly due to the meds he has to take for prostate cancer. So unfair. He made the decision not to drive anymore so as not to cause an issue. That is certainly honorable. Sue is fine to drive for now so it works out, but still.
Being back at work is fine but difficult as well. Wish I had choices/options. But it could be worse. At least I have a job to go to! Make the best of what you got.
I was able to get in the pool everyday while in Florida. What joy. It was so refreshing. I could go everyday/often if I planned to here. Set your priorities.
In the next month I'll be welcoming grandbaby #2. Waylon, the older brother is 17 months, and his little sister Rylie is due mid June. Woohoo! Who knew being a grandparent could bring so much joy!
My daughter (my oldest child) is now 30 and it's an adjustment to not be able to say all 3 kids are in their 20's. She just finished her 9th year of teaching Special Education. She had been doing Middle School, but will move back to Elementary School next year. She's an angel. In addition, she is also a Foster Parent. At the beginning of the year she had two teenage girls. Now she has a 3 year old boy and brothers ages 2 and 1. Can you say hand full? I pray for her strength and stamina daily.
Adulting gets old. Truly.
